I had to look after thirty something regional AIFF folks. Get them to their hotel, travel to the venue, and other micro guest services.
And all these unkils, were absolutely uncouth, rude, always late, and outright even abusive sometimes.
Like a bunch of animals.

A few of them were watching porn in the bus while going to the venue, that too among each other.
Always late. Never on time. Even tho they knew the draw will most definitely be on time and we won't wait for them. A few brought along their spouse as if it's a vacation.

Ultimately a few got left behind, I asked the bus to leave. Some reaching on time is better than nobody.
Late unkils had to walk a few hundred meters, and they were pissed. How dare I make them walk? I was in a IDGAF mode. Go complain. Kuch nai hoga!

FIFA had got some extremely professional managers/organisers who knew their shit. We only answered to them and they too knew how worthless the bunch are.
AIFF peeps had no respect for us and treated us like any other sarkari office. No please, no thank you. We were servants.

Coincidentally, the German delegation was damn pissed when I delayed them for two minutes. That's how precise they were. And I felt bad seeing the stark difference in attitudes.
Germans cared about every little bit. The so called hosts, on the other hand, didn't give a damn.

My 48 hour experience dealing with them was a nightmare. Thankfully all the international delegates covered up for it. We went home with a smile.
Today when AIFF is back in the news, I'm not surprised. Ask any football fan in India and they'll tell you. Gutter class.

I have nothing to do with football. I volunteered because I cared about India hosting the world. And we did a fab job at the draw.
