33 HARSH TRUTHS YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND AND INTERNALIZE
THREAD
No one will hand out anything to you for no reason.
Never take anything without knowing what it will cost you.
Ignore power dynamics at your own risk.
If you deny their existence, you'll often find yourself on the submissive end.
Not being in the mood isn't a valid reason.
You should control your mood, not the other way around.
No money in the world will ever get you your dignity back.
Make sure you never drop it.
Unhappiness is contagious.
Surround yourself with fulfilled and ambitious people.
People don't talk about you as much as you think they do.
Most manipulation is simply unconscious.
People seek their self-interest and some will do whatever it takes to get it.

Never allow disrespect.
If you allow it once, you invite it to happen again.
Being self-confident will save you from a lot of manipulation attempts.
Validate people.
Smile at them.
Say they're great.
Tell them they look good.
Imply that you missed seeing them.
Greet them with warmth and insistance.
People crave validation.
Leverage it.
That's a massive increase in your social skills.
Do it.

Everyone has something to teach you.
Not through their words but through their actions.
Not all battles are worth fighting.
Many are simply a waste of time with no real impact on your life.

Learning body language will make you a better communicator.
You can have introverted tendencies and still be socially skilled.
If their feedback hurts your feelings:
Listen to it.
Emotional control isn't about controlling the emotion.
It's about controlling the behavior that comes after.
Manipulation is everywhere.
If you deny this fact, you will get manipulated more easily
