China was the wealthiest nation on Earth for much of history.
Then one night, its house was broken into by a gang of Western & Japanese bandits, who stole its wealth & burnt the house down.
With the stolen wealth, the bandits became rich while China became so poor (cont.)...
... (cont.) that it could not feed its children.
Left with a burnt down house & few coins in the pocket, China's children had to leave their motherland for foreign lands in order to survive.
Many went to South East Asia. Others went to the West, where they became (cont.)...
... (cont.) cheap labourers for the Western bandits... the very bandits that burnt down their house and stole their wealth in the first place.
This is the story of the Chinese diaspora.
But China did not give up. It worked really hard to rebuild its house & wealth (cont.)...
... (cont.) Meanwhile, its hardworking children overseas also managed to climb their way out of poverty & became relatively wealthy in their host countries.
After many years of toil & tears, China managed to rebuild much of its former wealth & power.
In the meantime (cont.)...
... (cont.) the Western & Japanese bandits saw their wealth (which they stole from China) slowly dwindled after many years of opulent living.
So they're casting their eyes on China once again... daily scheming how they could break into its house & steal its wealth again...
Some think the West invented many innovations without the contributions of other cultures & civilisations.
They forgot that Western imperialism began in the 1500s.
It was slavery & stolen wealth from Africa, the Americas & Asia that enabled the West's industrial revolution.
