Mirko Breyer Knižar i Antikvar - Vijesti iz Slavenskog Knizevnog Antikvarijata - Katalog XI, Zagreb 1908. Mirko Breyer (1863 – 1946) was a Croatian writer, bibliographer and antiquarian. In 1903, Breyer founded his eponymous bookstore in Zagreb, and it operated until 1929. 2/
Breyer was supporter of a Jewish assimilation in Croatia, and a longtime member of the Zagreb 'Israelites' community. His aim was to gather all Croatian and Yugoslav Jews regardless of political view. Breyer was imprisoned as a Jew during World War II at Stara Gradiška camp. 3/
Breyer survived the war, and died in Zagreb on 29 December 1946. He was buried at the Mirogoj Cemetery. 4/
