7 reminders you need to ignite your inner world and blossom.
//thread//
It’s not arrogant to have trust in oneself. It's quite the opposite. People who lack trust fill themselves with doubts and insecurities. I know because I have been there myself.
That lack of trust is crippling. Here are 7 ways to start believing in yourself again:
1. Recognize your achievements
Stop telling yourself you haven't done anything great. You are not boring, unimportant, or stupid.
β€’ Recall your successes
β€’ Receive compliments from others
β€’ Remember the times you worked hard
Own your contributions.
2. Don't dwell on the past
Start giving yourself credit for all the things you've done right.
β€’ Write them down.
β€’ Learn from your mistakes
β€’ Don't dwell on your shortcomings
The past can suck the life out of you like a dementor, but only if you let it.
3. Set realistic goals
Take innie weeny teeny little steps every day that get you the wins you aim for.
β€’ Stay in the moment
β€’ Think outside the box
β€’ Adjust your goals if needed
Don't talk yourself out of your dreams.
4. Surround yourself with support
Your environment matters, so keep the ones that:
β€’ Have drive
β€’ Challenge you
β€’ Push their own limits
Avoid negative, critical, small-minded Nancy and you will feel liberated.
5. Try something different
If you're feeling lost or stuck:
β€’ Learn something new
β€’ Change your perspective
β€’ Go somewhere you haven't been
New experiences will inspire you into bursts of creativity.
6. Don't let others project onto you
People will try to protect you by planting seeds of doubt. They:
β€’ Tell you to play it safe
β€’ Project their inner limitations
β€’ Word vomit their fears onto you
Only you know what's best for you.
7. Take a break
Hideaway like a hermit crab so you can,
β€’Tap into your mind
β€’Regain your calmness
β€’Swim in your inner world
Grow your power in that shell.
Summary:
1. Recognize your achievements
2. Don't dwell on your past
3. Set realistic goals
4. Surround yourself with support
5. Try something different
6. Don't let others project onto you
7. Take a break
