Thread on how theAdult Film Association of America (AFAA) Erotic Awards tried to ban seed oils.
Yes you heard that right. They tried to ban seed oils.
Here's the FULL story.
(This is the most schizo thread i have ever written)
The AFAA erotic awards were hosted from 1977 until 1986.
Georgina Spelvin affectionately referred to the AFAA annual event as ‘the company picnic’.
In theory, the AFAA award ceremonies were the chance for the often-beleaguered industry to come together publicly and receive a
healthy dose of positive mainstream attention.
Performers arrived in style – by limo, on a chariot, in a motorcycle cortege, on a tank, even on an elephant – and were greeted by fans and the media.
The evening’s entertainment often included comedians, dance troupes, and a musical show.
And over the years, the ceremonies attracted celebrities such as ‘The Godfather’ director Francis Ford Coppola, singer Stephen Bishop, gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson, comedian Jackie
Gayle, and singer Jaye P. Morgan of The Gong Show.
Now is this related with seed oils.
At the First Annual Erotic Film Awards in 1977, the best picture award was given to the movie: h0rny girls gone wild in Kentucky farm.
A movie that inspired Tim Ferriss to write about the 15 minute female orga-sm on his book the 4 hour body.
The main actor on this scene was Bob Rawmilk.
Bob Rawmilk was a bodybuilder who on his early years had Vince Gironda as his mentor and after the oil crisis decided to go in the adult film industry.
Bob had big passion for health topics and noticed that when female coworkers used sunflower oil to massage him, his pecs got smaller.
"This can't be a coincidence" he thought.
I must investigate this.
At that time, the KGB was experimenting with tren on athletes and had call Bob to participate in some studies.
He accepted since he had never seen Russian women.
When he arrived in Russia, he saw that they only used butter and ghee to cook their foods.
They didn't even sell sunflower oil or seed oils.
When he asked them if they heard about seed oils, they said that it was Chyna's attack on American bodybuilders in order to make them fat.
He couldn't believe this. He become infuriated.
He immediately got back in the States and started preaching this knowledge in order to ban seed oils.
But people wouldn't believe him.
So he started a cult of anonymous bodybuilders and built many secret locations throught the world.
This secret organization had the famous rite of passage of ball sunning and drinking raw milk out of a cup that was made out of mount Etna's lava and gold from Machu Pitcchu.
The legends say that the members of this cult has great physical strength and could bench 4 plates from 15 years old.
They could also manifest thick moustaches by will.
Unfortunately this is were the myth stops.
We have lost track of this secret organazation.
The only thing that we recently found was their symbol.
