Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are best?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Prayer on time.” I said, “Then what, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Good treatment of your parents.”

@Hadithoftheday Narrated Ibn Mas`ud:
A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ) "What deeds are the best?" The Prophet ﷺ said:
1. To perform the (daily compulsory) prayers at their (early) stated fixed times,
2. To be good and dutiful to one's own parents, and
3. To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause.

@Hadithoftheday Allah commands us to honor our parents, to obey them, to respect their opinion, and be kind to them. Allah says in the Qur'an:
“Worship Allah and join none with Him in worship, and do good to parents” (Quran, 4:36).

@Hadithoftheday Allah says in the Quran:
“And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness & hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me & to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.” (31:14)

@Hadithoftheday Abdullah bin Umar R.A narrated, a man came to the Messenger of Allah asking his permission to go out for Jihad. The Messenger of Allah asked him, “Are your parents alive?”
He replied, Yes.
The Messenger of Allah then said to him, Then do Jihad through serving & caring for them

@Hadithoftheday Abu Hurairah quoted the Prophet ﷺ as saying: “He is doomed, he is doomed, he is doomed.”
Someone said, “Who, O Messenger of Allah?”
He answered,
“The person whose parents, one or both of them, reach old age during his lifetime but he does not enter Paradise.”(Muslim)
