Living porn-free is the solution to 90% of your problems.
Here's what happens when you quit the world's most addictive dug:
1) You get cravings and urges
Breaking any addiction means cravings and urges will follow.
They don't last forever.
But experiencing them is a neurochemical rite of passage toward sobriety.
Be thankful you get them.
It means you are healing.
Days 1-3 are the worst.
This is when cravings and urges are the strongest.
You're bombarded by tempation and justification.
"I just watched it yesterday"
"I'm already at zero"
"Once more won't hurt"
These go away within 3-5 days.
2) Energy levels restore
By day 3-5 you experience an increase in energy.
But this energetic increase can be dangerous.
For many people it leads to self-sabotage because they aren't used to it.
You will be tempted to turn to porn to "calm down."
But this is your new normal.
In the event of an extreme porn addiction days 3-5 are worse than days 1-3.
If you don't feel better come days 3-5 that's okay.
It just means your brain and body need more time to detox from porn.
Wait it out. You'll feel amazing soon.
3) Your confidence rises
Once you break free from the sexual matrix of porn your confidence soars.
This happens for one reason:
You can't turn to porn to meet your needs.
So your body accommodates to its new needs.
You socialize with people.
And they are drawn to you.
4) The comeback period
Come the middle of week 2 you have to be careful.
Urges and cravings may make a comeback.
Why?
It's your brain's old neural pathways making a last-ditch effort to get you back on porn.
Porn = intense dopamine release
This too shall pass.
Best case scenario:
You're mindful during week 1 and 2 to get dopamine from natural sources.
How do you do this?
Go for walks. Exercise. Socialize. Spend time with friends and family.
However...
Your brain may look for dopamine in other ways.
Like binge-watching Netflix.
Mindlessly scrolling social media.
Or eating junk food.
This is okay for a short while.
But you do have to be careful that your old porn addiction isn't replaced with a binge eating addiction.
5) Sex-drive peaks
You don't feel horny during the beginning stages of quitting porn.
But around days 18-25 you begin to experience real horniness.
It's easy to fall back into porn around this time.
But you must realize something:
Porn will not satisfy you.
You're looking for love, relationships, and sex.
Not a lustful frenzy caused by porn.
You want the real deal.
So you must channel these sexual urges into healthy outlets.
6) Mastering your sexual energy
This stage (days 26-31) is key to long-term survival and living porn-free.
This is when you learn how to channel your sexual energy into other outlets.
If you want a relationship you must channel your energy toward finding a woman.
You must also use that energy to better yourself as a man.
Be it building a business, hitting the gym, or learning new skills.
You now have a source to drive you towards greatness.
Your old porn addiction has turned into a into your greatest asset.
All because you quit.
