But at its core, being positive is all about mindset.
It's about seeing the good in every situation, even when things are tough.
It's about choosing happiness, even when life doesn't go your way.
Here are 14 simple strategies to help you be more positive:
1. Make a gratitude list
Start each day by writing down five things you're grateful for.
This can help shift your focus from the negative to the positive and will put you in a better mood.
2. Surround yourself with positive people.
The people we surround ourselves with have a huge impact on our mood and outlook on life.
So surround yourself with positive people who will support and encourage you.
3. Smile more
Smiling not only makes you look happy, but it makes you feel happier too!
So start smiling more and see how your mood improves.
When your mood improves, you'll become more positive.
4. Look for the silver lining
Whenever something "bad" happens, look for the silver lining.
Something good usually comes out of every situation, even if it's not immediately apparent.
