i have a theory that the people who are the smartest, have the most "potential," can become the happiest, healthiest, or best at whatever they do, also have the capacity to reach the lowest lows, mentally or physically.
Dr. Peat said the larger brain with a higher metabolism would be more sensitive to various insults, and there might be something to that.
like cows for example are dumb as hell and just kind of go along unbothered by anything, but also incapable of euphoria or fulfillment

humans are the opposite, where we have incomprehensible capability, but also can get discouraged, depressed or suicidal more easily.

but i think this exists on an individual level too. no disrespect but i feel like people who are not as intelligent or capable of achievement also tend not to get super down in the dumps. maybe a result of just not even having the ability to process pain as well.
smarter / more successful people always seem hit a dark place before reaching potential. yeah, it might be a "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger" thing but I also have a feeling it's that they internalize and are more conscious/aware of the failures.
