1. An year ago, during the Navratras, a genoc!de of Hindus in Bangladesh happened. Let us not forget that as vandalism of Durga vigrahas has started again.
It was the most horrible time for me on social media. This is how.
2. The massacre of the minority community of H!ndus was so brutal and so widespread that the Hindus on internet started reaching out to their Hindu brothers in India and abroad, hoping that India would be able to help.
3. But Indian government and State was as silent as if nothing happened. The wider world would not have known much had not ISKCON Bangladesh not staked its existence there and shouted to the world what was happening. They also some of their members.
4. It was so painful because Bangladeshi Hindus were approaching Indian Hindus on SM, and sending them videos of H!ndus h@cked to death in front of their eyes; hoping that we would do something.
5. I would get many videos in my mailbox on facebook, poor Hindus who followed me in Bangladesh believing that I could do something.
I did shout, and could do nothing else.
Never was I so ashamed or dejected in my own powerlessness.
6. There were so many videos that after a point I stopped opening them in my messenger box on facebook, knowing fully well my incapacity to do anything.
But we do what we can.
We make noise and make sure nobody ever forgets even Hindu life that is lost like this.
7. Let us resolve that this year we remember those Hindu lives that were lost and remind our leaders, political parties and society that our Hindu brothers are undergoing extinction in Bangladesh.
We will not remain silent.
