20 unwritten rules of life you should have learned by age 30:
1. You can never change another person, only support them when they’re ready to change themselves.
2. You’ll be a lot happier if you stop convincing yourself that happiness will come when you finally attain material possessions. Find joy in what and who you have now.
3. If you never fail, you’re not trying hard enough or taking big enough risks.
4. Gratitude is a powerful response to most situations in life.
5. There'snothing wrong with pride, but never let it get the best of you.
6. Your definition of success may be different from other people's. Figure out what it means to you and go after it with everything you’ve got.
7. You need to earn everything. Be it wealth, respect or love. No one owes you anything.
8. Appreciate your loved ones. There’s no telling how much time you have left with them.
9. You are who you spend the most time with. Surround yourself with people who inspire you and help you grow.
10. Learn how to fight, but never throw the first punch.
11. Always remember the one trait all humans share is that everybody always “wants” something! Nothing is free.
12. Maintain and cherish your friendships. Good ones are harder to come by the older you get.
13. Don’t be careless with other people’s hearts, and don’t allow people to be careless with yours.
14. Staying angry or holding a grudge is always a waste of energy.
15. Being a giver is good. But saying No is equally important. Don’t hesitate to say no when people take advantage of you.
16. Self-control is strength & calmness is power. Get angry but only when the situation demands.
17. Set your house in order before you criticize the world.
18. Assume nothing. Believe nobody. Check everything.
19. Learn a new skill every 6 months.
20. Don’t aim for perfection at the expense of beginning. If you’re afraid to write the first word, you'll never finish a book.
If you are serious about learning.
