If you don’t believe that a young person can be collecting money from home and claim to be studying at Uni for years that’s on you. I have seen this happened with my own eyes. Gained admission, withdrawn in 2nd year for poor performance but spent another 4 years collecting money.
As sad as these stories are the parents must share some of the blame. You have to supervise your kids. You have to do due diligence. You need to ask questions even of 25 year olds. If your child do this you will have to forgive them and start afresh. It’s sad but what can you do?
If you have been rusticated go back home and tell your parents. Stop collecting money and flexing around a university community. The shame you feel is temporal. You can still have a great future but you must move on from your failure and start afresh. Don’t waste another 4 years.
To all parents who will read this thread, you know what to do - ask those important questions this week. That N10M contract can wait. You are working so your kids can be greater than you. Slow down. Ask them questions. Do some due diligence. The earlier the better.
My younger friends, if you have friends at Uni who don’t go to classes ask them questions. “You no dey go class?” “Una no get lectures?” In 10 years when you start cashing out but they don’t have a degree they’ll start resenting and hate you. Ask them those questions today.
