Notion is one of the most used productivity tools (20M+ active users).
I use it every day to run my $120k/mo agency.
Here are 10 features & tools to make the most out of Notion:
1. Notion Saver
Notion Saver is a chrome extension you can use to save tweets to Notion tables.
This is great if you’re trying to build swipe files or save tweets and threads to read later.
2. Table Filters
You can filter properties through tables, boards, and calendars.
This is useful when you’re trying to find specific tasks/items.
3. Desktop App
If you run Notion on a budget setup…
The web app can get slow.
That’s annoying — especially when you’re trying to be productive.
You can download the app for Windows/Mac.
It’s 2x faster.
4. Templates
You can create your own templates for recurring tasks.
This saves me hours every month.
Check the example below.
5. Side Peek
Sometimes you just have to take a quick peek for some information.
You don’t want to leave your current board.
But you want to open a task.
You can set up a side peek preview to do that.
6. Icons (new feature)
Before the latest Notion updates, you could use emojis as icons.
And you could even upload your own icons.
But now the team at Notion just added a beautiful pack of new icons you can use.
7. Native Progress Bar
I found this one recently.
You can have a native progress bar on your “number” fields.
It’s cool to check a task's progress.
8. Commands
If we’re talking about productivity…
We have to talk about saving those extra 2-3 seconds.
Commands can help you with that.
9. Basic Operations
If you want to calculate min, max, average, median values and other basic (and not so basic) math operations…
You can do all of that on Notion tables.
10. Teamspaces (New feature)
Teamspaces are like mini-workspaces within your workspace.
Every team member will be able to curate and customize their own view on the workspace.
Every teamspace can have its own look and feel, members & settings.
Thank you for reading.
