⚡Wing-Crack Model - FEM Simulation of HPZ under ice-structure interaction with vertical structure⚡
Numerical simulation of drifting ice crushing against a compliant vertical structure. The simulation can tackle the high pressure zones (HPZ) against the structure🧵👇
Simulation is based on the three-dimensional wing crack model implemented into Abaqus/Explicit FE software.
Element erosion technique: fully damaged softened elements are deleted
The main parameters are: ice thickness 48cm; ice velocity 30 cm/s; Cylinder diameter 2.0m
