A consistent theme/pattern in 1st century Islamic inscriptions is that when Muslims asked for the prophet ﷺ’s intercession, they:
1. Only addressed Allāh alone, never “Ya Muhammad.”
2. Requested the prophet’s intercession for the whole Ummah, not for any specific individual.
3. Only sought his intercession in an eschatological (Day of Judgement) context.
