We asked you for memorization techniques you currently use to revise the Noble Quran. Here are 5 key methods that stood out 👇
1. Listen on loop: repetition is key, and this applies to listening too. Listen to the part you're revising, on loop, to help familiarise yourself with the page. Bonus tip: the tarteel app has an in-built feature that allows you to loop any page/ayat as much as you want!
2. Split up the ayat to help portion your memorization. If the ayah is long, split it up and repeat each section 5x and then bring it all together and try it from top to bottom 5x too
3. Stare at a blank wall: this is what it sounds like. Mus'haf in hand, look at the page, then look at the wall and try to picture the page. Tarteel allows you to do this on-the-go by making the page blank and then it listens to you and uses AI to fill in the ayat as you recite!
4. Read the page 10-15 times by actually looking and reading it. Sometimes when we memorize we forget to actually read the page before trying to memorize it, and in turn reading helps with memorization
5. Listen to your favourite qari. Many scholars recommend beginners to start with slow, advanced reciters such as Sh. Mahmoud Al Hussary
