"Self-Development" might be ruining your life...
Here's why:
You might be wondering:
How could improving myself be ruining my life?
Well, it's not exactly.
But constantly focusing on "self-improvement" often causes more insecurities and less acceptance of your true self.
I'll be explaining why below:
We are sold on the fact that self-improvement will solve all of our problems.
Which is a terrible way to live.
There will always be problems, no matter what.
Instead, we need to embrace these problems.
Knowing that the problems will only make us stronger and more capable.
Rather than running from our insecurities,
We need to face and accept them.
Most people will go down the deep rabbit hole of self improvement as a way to cover their flaws and insecurities.
Only to find out that this "journey" they've embarked on is a bottomless pit.
A bottomless pit that changes a couple aspects of their life externally.
But changes nothing internally.
Outer riches.
Inner poverty.
True personal growth comes from conquering your fears, traumas, and insecurities.
Not endless "self-improvement".
It comes from taking massive action, failing along the way, and learning.
There are no amount of self-help books or morning routines that will change you.
That's the number one problem with self-improvement:
Too much learning,
Not enough action.
Here's what you need to do instead:
•You must practice radical self-acceptance.
Every flaw, insecurity, or past trauma must be addressed.
You must accept your past and understand that the past doesn't exist anymore.
All there is is the present moment.
Accept the fact that you will never be perfect.
•You must take massive action towards your goals.
Whatever it is you want to accomplish, you must start now.
Start now and learn and refine your systems along the way.
Reading 10 books will not solve your current issues.
But getting to work on what matters will.
•You need to fix the Internal
When it all boils down,
What are you really seeking on this self-development journey?
You probably are looking for "happiness" or "peace".
Neither of those can be found outside of you.
Your perception of your own reality is what brings you inner peace and happiness.
If you are constantly negative, constantly living in a state of pure ego,
Then you'll never be happy within.
There will always be a void you're trying to fill.
So relax and enjoy who YOU are.
Here's my 4 keys to a life of inner peace:
-Radical self acceptance
-Taking massive action daily
-Living in the present moment
-Less worrying about being perfect
