In other words, most of the WHO’s money comes with strings attached
Who do you think is the top private contributor? Yes! BAMGF contributing 4.3 billion dollars in the past decade.

This has even been heavily critiqued by WHOs own employees, with Allison Katz who worked at WHO for 18 years writing a letter in 2007 to the then WHO director stating

He is also directly pumping 319m into media outlets(see pic). Along with donating an extra 63m to media-associated charities.
So why is he doing it?

Putting these same funded journalists, in Gates-funded outlets, reporting on topics that he is heavily involved in.(Health/climate change)
