& post independencebecame the Rear admiral and FOCIF. Adhar Kumar Chatterji also became Chief of the Naval staff and 1st Admiral of Indian Navy. JN Chaudhuri became COAS and led the Op Polo, crushed the Razakars, 1965 Indo pak war and founding father of BSF.
Subroto Mukerjee was the one of the 5 Indians of RAF 1931 BATCH. He fought in WW2, was vice air Marshall in 1947 Indo pak war, and India's first chief of Air staff. Bengalis shaping India's armed forces.
