A 39km from Kampala where the lights reign and the center of development, you take a route where you deeply get to experience the other side of life.
Today I managed to share the gift of chess with Buiga sunrise day & boarding school located in Kisoga. With the great leadership of Alice, the school has been serving the community for 20 years.
In a community where access to education is limited to a point where you have to walk long distances to find a school and on top of that live an experience of a village setting where need to balance home chores and school is a priority.
There's need to switch approach to achieve that which God put inside and deserves to see the light and serve the purpose to which it was meant.
We were welcomed with the beautiful souls that offered to carry the packages and the administrators were welcoming. We opened with a reading session by @ireadiinnovate and they've been doing great works at the school. An hour later we introduced the gift of chess.
I bet you haven't experienced such an eager to learn with the ability to change the feel and energy in the room. The kids were so attentive, smart and curious. This was surely a game changer as we got to experience and share the same energy with the kids.
