The believer is always at gain, while the disbeliever is always at loss.
عن صهيب، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "عَجَبًا لأَمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَلَيْسَ ذَاكَ لأَحَدٍ إِلاَّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ إِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ"

Suhaib reported that the Rasūlullāh ﷺ said: Strange is the case of a believer, there is good in every affair of his, and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity occurs, he is thankful so it is good for him, and if adversity occurs, he is patient, so it is good for him.
وَٱلْعَصْرِ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ

"(I swear) by time, man is verily at loss, except for those who believe, do righteous deeds, and enjoin one another towards the truth, and enjoin one another towards the patience."
