In the Jhunsi of Prayagraj, there is a miraculous well named Samudrakoop. The specialty of this Samudrakoop is that since its construction, its water level has neither increased nor decreased. This well was built by the Gupta dynasty ruler Samudragupta.
But some people believe that this well was not built by Samudragupta. It is said that the mention of this Samudrakoop also comes in Padma Puran and Matsya Puran. Pururava was the son of King Budha, who is believed to be a descendant of Brahma.
Raja Pururava performed many Ashwamedha Yagyas during his reign. The oceans were invoked in those Yagyas. For this reason, he built the well which was named after the ocean. It is said that there is water from seven seas inside this well.
