Take time to feel your feelings and express them. Don't ignore them.

Accept that some situations are beyond your control, and don't beat yourself up for it.

Don't be afraid to ask for help. Reach out to loved ones, and a professional if needed. You don't have to go through it alone.

Try to offer help to others in any way you can. Little acts of kindness go a long way. Helping others has been scientifically found to help reduce the effect of daily stressors that affect our mental and emotional health.

As hard as this may be for you right now, find joy in the beautiful things of life. There's a lot happening in your life now, I know, but take joy in life’s little gifts. It could be admiring a plant, or watching the clouds move slowly.

Rewrite your negative thoughts. Negative thoughts can often be dominating in a time like this, but you can take charge of your thoughts. Instead of saying, “I can't take it any longer,” say, “I am proud of myself for coming this far.”

Leave the past where it belongs, learn from it, and move past it. It’s not easy to move past something that is causing you so much distress right now, I totally understand, you should, however, understand that you no longer live there.
