I am making this thread in a lot of haste since i am a bit busy. Will take out a proper one with references later.
Gun foundries under Sindhias:
1)Agra
2)Mathura
3)Delhi
4)Gwalior
5)Kalpi
6)Gohad
7)Palwal
8)Hodal
9)Ujjain
+ a musket factory in Firozabad besides many others
There was also a foundry Sardhana which was technically under Begum Somru but her troops reported to Mahadji
Gwalior was mainly used to cast huge brass guns and manufacture gun carriages with solid wheels, the Agra Foundry on the other hand manufactured mainly light field pieces
Holkars had a foundry at Banpura which manufactured brass gallopers.
The furnaces and foundries in Banpura were capable of manufacturing 200 gallopers’ guns within three to four months. These were under Sobharam a disciple of Man Singh Chaudhry who cast the guns of the Sindhias
There were other foundries of Holkar which i have'nt traced yet but will do so. All these foundries were producing high quality guns.
Mahadjis foundry was initially under Sangster but later natives like Man Singh Chaudhry,Sobharam etc were also there
The Peshwas & Bhonsles too had foundries but I cant speak for their quality especially the former. This by no means says they didnt have good guns since there are many records of them acquiring good cannon from other European powers like from Cornwallis in the war against Tipu
