Here's a simple roadmap to developing leaders around you:
The first step is collecting data.
Manager observations
Focus groups at all level
Anonymous surveys
Gain a deep understanding of your leader’s strengths and opportunities.
Look for trends making the biggest impact.
Next, use the data to put together a proposal.

When putting your proposal together, focus on impacts most important to those you are presenting to.

Make it clear how they will benefit from your plan.
Delegate plan ownership
Be flexible to feedback from the group and delegate ownership of the plan.
You need decision makers in your organization playing key roles in the success of the program.
This is a group project, not a solo mission.
Communicate often
Don’t be afraid of bothering people.
If it is important, make it important.
When people miss deadlines, be quick to figure out what happened and get the program back on track.
If the organization struggles with execution, this a great way for you to teach what execution should look like.

While crafting the plan, be sure there are opportunities for visibility to the program.
