Famous rockets of Mysore played a very important role in the battles.
Here, attaching the description of battle by two eyewitness British officers - Munro & Baillie.
Sir Alfred Lyall commented :
'The fortunes of the English in India had fallen to their lowest water-mark'

Munro called the Battle of Pollilur - 'the severest blow that the English ever suffered in India'
Before anyone asks why I call it Mughal vs British battle, they should know that Haider Ali Bahadur wasn't any Sultan but a Nawab who acknowledged Shah Alam as Emperor.
