In an era where people still preferred mass entertainers, venturing into dark Neo noir territory was Raghavan's greatest exploit. Not too many big names except an aged Dharmendra for that time but Johhny Gaddar just clicked amazingly well and seamlessly with the plot. 2/4
I loved the subtle references throughout the movie, right from Johhny Mera Naam, Citizen Kane to Eyes Wide Shut. Above all, it had the perfectly justified dark ending , poetic justice to those who seek greed as the shortcut to success. 3/4
Johnny Gaddar deserves every bit to be celebrated as a cult classic.
