Had a few hours to reflect on today’s defeat. Was shocked at how easily we folded, went behind far too early and goals change games. Especially away from home and in a derby, it’s tough to react. Think Ten Hag would have learned a thing or two more about his team.

The choice and execution of passes from Mctominay, Eriksen, Bruno were really poor throughout the majority of the game. The back 4 looked okay on the ball, but again I think we struggled with progression into the latter phases and the ball didn’t stick with attacking players.

A big reason why Martial is key in this system, with the current options we have I think Martial’s ability to hold the ball up and link play is unmatched. Was disappointed with Rashford and Sancho overall, one of them should lose their place for next week’s game.

Generally, think we didn’t defend as a team today. The attacking players looked sluggish at times, the mentality, attitude, defensive solidity as a team wasn’t there. Dalot was individually poor against Grealish but he didn’t have the necessary defensive support.

I think some people have taken it a bit too far, however. Both positively and negatively, we were not a perfect, ready to challenge team after those 4 wins and after today’s loss we don’t have to rip everything up. Just a few adjustments throughout the team.
