Being unproductive will destroy you.
Here’s how to avoid self-destruction:
Can you RELATE to this?
“I'll start tomorrow.”
“I feel like I’m running out of motivation.”
“I can’t seem to bring myself to want it enough.”
“I never seem to be able to follow through on my goals.”
If you’ve been nodding your head to any of these statements...
Read on
Because today you’ll discover a simple way to achieve any of your goals.
And it has nothing to do with GTD, Pomodoro Technique, or Atomic Habits.
It’s called the 7 Pillars.
Lemme tell you about it.
The 7 pillars of getting things done:
1. Achievable goals
2. High-impact habits
3. Worthy deadlines
4. Self-discipline
5. Self-control
6. Extreme focus
7. Easy reviewing
Pillar 1. Achievable Goals
What do you want to achieve?
The bigger the goal the better.
Example:
"I want to write 4 ebooks this year."
Now, break it down into smaller goals.
Publish 1 ebook every 3 months.
Then what?
Pillar 2. High-impact Habits
So you wanna publish 1 ebook every 3 months?
Break it down into simple actions you can take daily.
To publish one ebook, you need to write 30K words.
How many words a day?
350 words a day.
This daily action will take to your goal.
Pillar 3. Worthy Deadlines
Urgency is the God of money and getting things done.
No deadline = nothing gets done.
Be cautious with deadlines.
If you have a goal of writing 4 ebooks this year, don't say you’ll write them by the end of the month.
Pillar 4. Self-discipline
Self-discipline is the skill every Entrepreneur wishes they had but isn’t willing to pay the price to gain.
But without it, they’re doomed.
Make it your TOP priority to establish habits that lead to your goals.
Slow and steady.
Pillar 5. Self-control
Self-control is *not* self-discipline.
As you use self-control to force yourself to focus on what’s important and self-discipline to do what’s important.
Pillar 6: Extreme Focus
Focus is where self-control and self-discipline converge.
Focus is not only being able to work long periods of uninterrupted time.
Focus is also about working on the right things too.
Focus and self-control go hand in hand.
Pillar 7: Easy Review
Ask yourself:
Did you complete your daily tasks and goals this month?
That’s a closed-ended question.
In other words, you can only answer it with a *yes* or a *no*.
There are no maybes here.
That's a wrap!
