It’s irritating how many people get upset when you talk about genetics/anthropology & assume you just have a narrative to push or are some vile racist who hates everyone else.
This is simply a hobby, and an academic interest for me, like I might view linguistics or archaeology.

I don’t really care about the people who use this field just to push racism/supremacism, but people who follow me should stop doing “guilty by association” or just unfollow and move on.
I’ve spoken out against any forms of racism dozens of times, and even defended the charges that varNAshrama was something based on it, but people have short memories and seem to forget it very easily.
It’s extremely irritating being an Indo-Europeanist, everyone from all sides just assumes you’re a racist or cultural/religious supremacist or whatever. No, I just enjoy the field, and I like reading about my ancestor’s history in my spare time.
Very natural and even normal desire, especially for a Hindu, I directly relate to my ancestors religion and culture, as my religion is a continuation of theirs, and I descend from them.
So why won’t I study their history/archaeology/linguistics/genetics?

If you are extremley upset that people are simply discussing these things in a non controversial, polite and respectful manner, then you have your own insecurities and issues that you need to deal with.
Or if you think everytime I make a post on genetics or archaeology, I’m out to “get your group” (i.e - can be anything: Turks, Greeks, Armenians, Pakistanis, South Indians, Chinese; people from all these groups have gotten mad at me) then you are simply projecting your issues..
Make a post on Scythians, you’ll have a bunch of hypertriggered Turks and Europeans in your comments claiming them, make a post on Harappans, you’ll have equally upset North and South Indians, talk about Greeks, you’ll get comments deriding you for suggesting Slavic influence…
Make a post on Iranians, you’ll get triggered Persians saying “no Turkic influence!”
Simply can’t win with these people.. they’re incapable of controlling their emotions & not taking the facts of history so personally.

The entire account is based on my hobbies. You understand that right? It’s for my own collection and for my interests. But somehow people don’t have a problem when I discuss Sanskrit scripture or philosophy, only when I discuss anthropology and genetics!
It’s obvious why!

Anyhow, now that my position and beliefs have been clarified, no reason for me to address this further.
Well, there’s only 24 hours in a day, and everyone leads busy lives. You can only read about one topic in your spare time. I’ve stopped reading philosophy, history etc for a while.
Once you notice I’m tweeting about it again, it means I stopped reading about genetics now.
