That’s not just “I am a ruthlessly effective capitalist vis papertrailing my accomplishments” it is actually in your employer’s and coworkers’ best interests. An hour of writing can magnify the impact of weeks or months of project work.

A “shipped email” might be a Stripeism? Not sure; the perils of having only worked at one company where English was dominant language.
We have ~everyone on a shipped@ email list and culture is to send it an email recapping project work shortly before or after projects ship.

They’re great windows into e.g. “I wonder what the ML practice is doing regarding Risk scoring these days” to “Gadzooks we saved HOW MUCH with that migration” to “Ooh they managed to cross-apply the Japan conversion improvements to another country! Spiffy!”
