I recently read "The Four Agreements", a book by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Here's a list of key principles that I liked from the book.
#productivity #book #reading #growth
1️⃣ Be Impeccable With Your Word - Speak with integrity
Just express what you mean. Do not use the word to disparage yourself or to spread rumours about others. Put the force of your words to work for love and truth.
2️⃣ Don't Take Anything Personally - Nothing others do is because of you.
What other people say and do is a reflection of their own worldview and aspirations. You won't endure unneeded sorrow when you have a strong immune system against the thoughts and deeds of others.
3️⃣ Don't Make Assumptions.
Find the guts to communicate your true desires and to ask the right questions. To prevent misinterpretations, grief, and drama, communicate with them as plainly as you can. You have the power to completely change your life with just just one agreement.
4️⃣ Always Do Your Best.
Your best will fluctuate from moment to moment depending on your health and how sick you are. Simply try your best in every situation to avoid self-criticism, self-abuse, and regret.
🌟Overall, this book identifies four self-limiting beliefs that impede one's experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.
That's a wrap!
