1. Is changing tradition for change’s sake good?
Aamir Khan once again shows he is no different from medieval Islamic invaders who just wanted to destroy Hindu traditions. But the question is: why do some of our own support such things in the name of ‘changing tradition’?

2. The line ‘Sadiyon se jo pratha chalti aayi hai… wahi chalti rehti hai… aisa kyun?’
We need to break down the mentality behind this line.

3. In both cases, the ‘why’ is not only forgotten but rendered meaningless. Why should something change which has been working for ages? In fact, as the Lindy effect says, something which has been working for thousands of years has proven its worth by existing for that long.
4. It has survived, because it has worked. To change that in favor of something that is completely new and untested can only come from a mind given to fashion fads and an irresponsible generation which does not think about tomorrow. No wonder they also don’t care about ecology.
5. On the other hand, to change something for change’s sake; to do something new, just because you are bored, and want to do something new is something which can come out of the mind that is civilizationally, culturally and ethically denuded.
6. It comes out of sheer boredom and nothing else. It is the result of a mind which finds no meaning or goal in life; and which just tries to entertain itself by doing ever new things, even if this ‘entertainment’ comes at a huge cost to the wider society.
7. In this view it is nothing more than intellectual masturbation and should be viewed like that. Change for change’s sake is exactly that.
8. Needless to say, all of these experiments are done only on Hindu tradition. With Islam, one has to approach with absolute and full respect, like Aamir does when he goes and stones the ‘Shaitan’ in Arabia. But we all know his colors by now.
