Give me 60 seconds I’ll give you a cheat code to remember everything you learn:
This framework is from one of the smartest humans in history:
Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Richard Feynman.
With it, you’ll:
• Learn faster
• Think clearer
• Become smarter
Than 97% of people.
Here’s the 4-step framework…
Grab pen + paper.
On paper, write down the concept you want to learn at the top.
Physically writing notes stimulates your brain’s hippocampus.
Your hippocampus handles:
1) Memory
2) Learning
Simplify for a 5-year-old.
Cover different areas of your topic:
• What is it?
• How does it work?
• Why is it important?
Use simple words, draw pictures, and create examples.
If a 5-year-old couldn’t understand, you don’t understand
Review.
After your 1st draft, review your writing:
• Where did you blank?
• What did you misunderstand?
Take note and go back to the source material.
Fill in the gaps in your knowledge.
Refine.
With your new understanding, start refining.
Is there a simpler term? Write it.
Is there a clearer picture? Draw it.
Is there a better layout? Organize it.
Adopt the mind of a sculptor.
Chip away until it’s clean, clear, and concise.
The 4 step cheat code to remembering everything you learn:
Step 1: Grab pen + paper
Step 2: Simplify for a 5 year old
Step 3: Review
Step 4: Refine
