Understanding customers is essential to building and growing profitable relationships.
It's no wonder why businesses invest so much into marketing...
But, there's a special technique for uncovering networks of customers...
And, 90% of Data Science Teams are OVERLOOKING it.
It's called Network Analysis...
If you learn it, you'll become very valuable to your organization...
Network analysis allows us to find communities of similar customers...
But why aren't data science teams using it?
Well, it's because they don't know the secret I'm about to share with you...
Most data science teams simply use K-means clustering for community detection.
But, there's a big issue with this approach...
Customers are networks of people, and people behave in accordance with social psychology...
This means that groups of customers actually have LEADERS.
And these leaders are often called, "influencers".
And experiments have proven time and again that if we target the influencers in each community, the rest of the community will follow.
So what's the issue with K-Means?
K-means identifies the groups of customers. (good)
K-Means does NOT identify the influencer. (BAD)
What about Network Analysis?
It turns out we can get both groups of customers AND influencers too!
