I concluded opposite. Quran’s creative & coherent incorporation of biblical & post biblical material into an original + critical theological narrative indicates it’s author has a very deep & sophisticated knowledge of Biblical / Late Antique religion & sources akin to a library
I am also surprised when Christians fault the Quran for creatively engaging with Late Antique Jewish, Christian exegesis when the Bible engages Babylonian, Sumerian & Hellenic theologies in similar way. New Testament authors engage Logos theology & wisdom literature.
Doesn’t the six day Genesis creation account creatively mirror & repurpose contemporary Sumerian and Babylonian creation myths but make its own tweaks in order to present a monotheistic theology?
