Apple is worth $2.23 trillion.
In 2020, US presidential candidates raised $4.1 billion.
Their secret?
They built a cult-like following by hacking into the 7 Addictions of the Human Mind.
Here they are so you don't join a cult by accident (#5 will shock you to your core):
⚠ Warning: what I'm about to reveal is extremely powerful and can be used with toxic intentions.
Please do NOT use this to build a cult or manipulate people.
This thread exists purely for educational purposes.
RT the first tweet to save a life if you want.
Let's begin....
Whenever we hear the word "addiction" we tend to think of physical addictions like crack and cocaine.
But the mental addictions I'm about to reveal are far more powerful.
You can never gain 100% control of these addictions as they are deeply rooted in your brain.
BUT...
You'll be less likely to be manipulated.
You'll start to understand how people around you are joining cults everyday without being aware of it.
and your life will improve just be being aware of the following 7 addictions.
πŸ‘‡
Hidden addiction # 1 People need to feel needed
Everyone needs to feel a sense that their life matters and the best way to feel this is getting validation from other people.
"I had been fed adoration, the food of the gods" - A former cult member
Hidden addiction # 2 When aware of an impasse, people will do anything to gain a sense of hope
Humans can tolerate a lot of hardship but they can't tolerate a lack of hope (that's how suicides happen...)
If you can create a sense of hope in the face of hopelessness?
you'll command attention.
If you can deliver on your promises, you'll command loyalty.
To see this in action, study political campaigns (just don't sucked in while you're doing it!)
Obama's famous 2008 campaign was built entirely around the sense of hope "Yes we can".
Hidden addiction # 3 People need a scapegoat
Harsh truth: Millions of innocent people have been attacked for no other reason than doing so made certain others feel better about themselves.
Scapegoating is how witch hunts happened in the past.
Hidden addiction # 4 People need to be noticed and feel understood
Want to build an audience?
Create a sense that your audience is understood by echoing their thoughts back to them.
This is why giving someone your full and complete attention is ...
the best compliment you can ever give them.
This addiction is so powerful that the opportunity to meet this need can override the greatest intellect on earth and lead one to engage in behavior that may seem weird in hindsight.
3 more addictions to goπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
Hidden addiction # 5 People need to know things others don’t know/things they aren’t supposed to know
The best way to disarm a skeptic is to share with them a "secret" or make a confession.
Whether it be a guru, a magician, a cult leader or...
a parent, the person who promises secret knowledge fulfills a very basic need.
Fun experiment:
Want to gain the trust of a new co-worker? Just share with them a little secret about the workplace or small piece of gossip about your boss etc.
Moving on....πŸ‘‡
Hidden addiction # 6 People need to be right
We hate chaos and uncertainty and being right represents order and stability
This is not a childish addiction but rather a misguided, automatic and instinctual drive to survive a perceived threat to the psychic order
πŸ‘‡
This is why getting into political arguments is a complete and total waste of time. The best approach is to just smile and nod.
By agreeing with the other person, you are gifting them the satisfaction of having "solved the mystery."
Hidden addiction # 7: People need to feel a sense of power
Whether it's real or not, people need to feel that they are in the driver's seat.
This is why a parent β€œputting her foot down” never works on rebellious teenagers because it threatens their sense of power.
Now that you understand these 7 addictions and how they are used for evil....
What if I told you there's an *ethical* way to use them to build an online business?
And if you apply them long enough...
You'll have people throwing money at you...
Want to see how to apply these addictions to online biz?
If this thread gets 500 RTs, I'll write a thread showing you exactly how to do it.
