Curiosity plays a huge role on your hiring chances. How well can you get your dev curious about what you can offer. By giving them pre-paid value, I.e free service in advance, the dev would want to know what more you would offer if you get hired. Smart right?

IDENTIFICATION
Identify the project you want to work for. Go through the whitepaper and roadmap as many times as possible. Go through the announcement channels and other important channels so as to increase your knowledge about the project.

EXAMINATION
Examine the community and check to see if it is a community grown by bots or marketing. One of the good ways to do this is by examining the chat energy. How active is the server? How often are conversations held in the server?

OBSERVATION
Read through previous chats to see what is being talked about, and what is being said. Figure out the different opinions on the topic and see where you stand. Understand the community and the kind of conversations that work.

After going through the chat, give a commending reply to the ones you agree with. For the ones you disagree with, state your reasons. In situations where there is no topic discussed, start a conversation with a globally trending topic, observe their reactions to the topic…
