🚢The concepts of digitalizing & automating all the procedures in supply chain through blockchain
Two very prominent projects that have been focused on this initiative are @vechainofficial $VET & @MNWSupplyChain $MNW
Let's dive into their differences & similarities🧵
First off lets take an individual look at each of these projects,
We'll start off with $VET as its been operating in this space for quite a while now
🔽🔽🔽
vechain.org
Simply put, $VET is a L1 with a focus on authenticity & traceability on the blockchain
Their operations range from
✅Connect customers w products
✅Tracing shipping process through QR Codes
✅Quality/Authenticity tracing of products
✅Building retail/enterprise applications
Here is a further TL;DR breakdown of $VET by @exodus_io

👨‍🔧Looking at the $VET Core Team
CEO Sunny Lu had previously worked at @LouisVuitton China for ~6 years as CIO/CTO. One of the LARGEST luxury brands in the world. He clearly saw the level of counterfeit markets.👛
❌Believe it or not counterfeits are a $600 Bil/Yr industry
📰Their VP of Marketing, Richard Fu
Similar to Sunny had come from Louis Vuitton as a Regional Director in West China for over 10 years!
It's very likely the two have some very deep connections to the fashion industry. Perfect for $VET operations for authenticity!
While $VET is China based they're working to expand their operations as seen in the graphic below.
While I had thought being in China could limit $VET global potential, we see they're expanding to Singapore & Europe👍
🪙VeChain has a very interesting tokenomics model
They were one of the pioneers in creating a dual token ecosystem. Where $VET represents the value of the network while $VTHO works as the gas to power.
This allows the value of $VET & TX fees to remain more stable🛝
🔗Finally looking at $VET connections
We see a variety of industries from consulting enterprises, retail, fashion, automotives & much more
They've definitely spent time establishing themselves as a solution through blockchain to the legacy world
Much like some large exchanges such as Coinbase working with the NBA & FTX collaborating with the NFL.
$VET has also decided to take the leap into the retail world to show theres more to DLT than whats on MSM through collaborating with UFC in a $100M sponsorship👀
Now lets look at $MNW
🌊Theres a lot of overlaps with $VET but also a lot of differences in operations that could open doors to collaboration or competition
While one is another L1 blockchain & another a middleware solution they bring their own specialties to supply chain🦭
$MNW is a middleware platform sitting between siloed legacy supply chain modules/ERP platforms & blockchains.
🔋This allows for any enterprise to connect to another SC platform or DLT by simply connecting their technology into $MNW middleware platform!
🔌Easy plug n play
To learn more about how $MNW fundamentally works, I've previously made an introductory video to breakdown exactly how their platform can be utilized in addition to other goods🔽🔽🔽

The $MNW team is also very suited for this initiative with HUGE connections within the sector
🕴️Dan Weinberger, CEO- @UN @INATBA_org & @ISCEA member
🚢Roger Crook, Team Lead- DHL CEO & @BainAlerts advisor
⛈️Much like $VET they've also worked to establish their name in the supply chain industry but with a different method as their focus is connecting platforms to $MNW middleware rather than onboard users onto $VET network
These range from
🗺️ERP
🖲️IoT
☁️Cloud
⛓️DLT
💰Payments
Additionally $MNW has caught the eyes of some of the largest tech/ERP companies in the world in SAP & IBM!
They've been invited to join both their respective incubator/acceleration programs giving them tons of experience & resources to build out their vision.
🏆Finally a side by side comparison. I'll leave you to decide which one you thinks "better"
$MNW- Connect all of s-chain/logistics together through communication layer
$VET- Bring businesses onto a scalable platform for much more transparent data on supply chain procedures
If you guys enjoyed this comparison thread please consider dropping a follow/retweet to share the knowledge💙
🔬I try to bring quality research on the DLT space from projects like $QNT $DAG $LCX $HBAR $ALBT etc in a variety of formats!
