1) KDP is a game, you need to learn to play it
The best-selling books are not always the 'best' quality books.
They are the books that play the game and have optimised keywords, a good niche, a catchy title etc
Don't just blindly make books, make them while playing the game...

2) Niche Research is THE MOST important
I don't need to complicate this.
If no one wants your book, no one is going to buy it. No matter how good it is.
Find a niche people are actually demanding and make a unique book that fits that demand

3) Notebooks won't be enough
There's a lot of people claiming to make Β£1000's/month from notebooks and making KDP seem easy
I personally don't know anyone who's really successful with KDP that ONLY makes notebooks.
Nothing wrong with starting with them, but you need to evolve

It's great seeing someone make Β£4,000+/month on KDP, but you never see the work and patience that has gone on behind the scenes
If you aren't prepared to give it your full effort for at least 12 months then don't even bother
