🍞Thread on finding low cap gems and not buying scams🍞
As someone who’s been rugged countless times and made a ton off low caps, figured I’d share some useful tips/tools I’ve used over the years
Let’s dig in:
As someone who’s been rugged countless times and made a ton off low caps, figured I’d share some useful tips/tools I’ve used over the years
Let’s dig in:
1) Narratives:
- What’s the narrative?
- Does the narrative have an expiration date?
- Is the narrative sustainable?
- Is this narrative forced? If so, why are they forcing it?
- Who’s pushing the narrative? Is it your fave CT influencer or does the narrative sell itself

- Who’s pushing the narrative? Is it your fave CT influencer or does the narrative sell itself
2) Narratives P2:
Narratives with an expiration date often pick up bid fairly quickly
This means I should sell the day of the expiration right? Yes/no
People will front run the expiration dump and people will front run that dump
Take profits before/leave bag for expo date

3) Liquidity:
For meme coins, you want the liquidity to be 10-15% of the market cap i.e (1mm market cap, 100-150k of liq)
High liquidity isn’t bad, it means team was willing to throw down a lot of capital initially, but the coin won’t pump nearly as hard

5) Liquidity P3:
- Most good devs will send fresh ETH from an exchange to deploy liq. Follow the breadcrumbs, if it’s from another wallet with history. Find out their motives and what it’s connected too
- If leadership has true vision, a lot of time they will add LP/burn it

6) Tax vs no tax:
- Tax is usually used to fund wallets of dev/team + used for marketing tactics
- Tax also *can* prevent heavy botting of the initial launch
- 0/0 tax is interesting. Team isn’t taking a cut. What could this mean? This is where you check first initial buys

- 0/0 tax is interesting. Team isn’t taking a cut. What could this mean? This is where you check first initial buys
7) Tax vs no tax P2:
- With 0/0 liquidity, you have to expect the team is going to get paid somehow
- Often times 0/0 tax means the team/insiders are sniping the initial launch to get a fat stack of tokens
- Monitor those wallets. If vision is there chance they won’t distro

9/ Supply/Holders P2:
- Check every wallet of top 50 holders. Are they sending coins between each other? 1 holder can diversify into multiple wallets and still gobble up a very large % of supply
- It’s ok if top holders are distributing, as long as there is bid to catch it

10) Following breadcrumbs:
- Find wallets of successful projects that got in early, analyze what they are doing
- You can find bangers by simply going from wallet to wallet on etherscan
- Determine wallet size to position size ratio. Why are they buying more of this?

11) Following breadcrumbs P2:
- People have more than 1 wallet used for different things. See where their wall funded from, see how successful they’ve been buying low caps
- Did they sell a super promising coin to ape another coin? This is where research comes in ⤵️

12) I found a coin, now what?
1) Run through Tokensniffer.com
2) Create your own telegram and get a SUS Bot/ Mevfreehoneypotbot for extra verification/information
3) Check initial TXs (see above)
4) How does holder ratio look?
5) Is LP locked?
6) Check $Cashtag

13) P2:
7) Google phrases around the coin, what’s the narrative here?
8) Join the telegram. Are they autistic and spamming/commands?Good
9) Is there a website?
10) Is there a tax, if so is % of tax going to LP to boost liquidity? Good
11) What is vision

P3:
12) If there’s a tax, look at marketing wallet. Is the dev cashing out funds to an exchange? Or are they using the funds for future utility
13) Check every TX of every major buy/sell. Are the wallet sizes entering greater than exiting? Supply absorption

13) Check every TX of every major buy/sell. Are the wallet sizes entering greater than exiting? Supply absorption
P4:
14) Are there influencers shilling it? Let’s be honest. Marketing is king, it won’t go anywhere unless there are some decent size accounts promoting
15) Is there raids? Telegram should be doing everything to raid tweets of big influencers/other successful projects

15) Is there raids? Telegram should be doing everything to raid tweets of big influencers/other successful projects
P5:
16) Is the holder count increasing? Stagnant isn’t good.
17) Are telegram numbers increasing? You want to see new members match the same energy as bullish existing members
18) Is the dev using the marketing wallet to buy back/burn decreasing the supply?

14) How do you find new coins?
- Dextools/Dexscreener
- ETH chain
- Go to top 5min/60min gainers
- Look at volume/liquidity
- Does the top gainer have a token name associated to a recent trend?
- What is 24hr price increase/decrease? Down 97% but 5m up 60%

15) How do you find these coins?
- Check the chain (Breadcrumb section below, often how I find 75%+ of coins)
- Telegram volume bots. Plenty of bots out there that detect big buys/high upticks in volume for low cap coins
- Raiders: People raiding tweets, always DYOR

18) Taking profits:
- Taking profits can prevent you from making life changing money, but also prevent you from round tripping
- Take initial out after a 2-3x, small profit take after 3-5x, size-able profit take after 5-10x, moonbag for 10-100x

19) Taking profits P2:
- If you happen to capture a large bag early, don’t be a dick and exit in 1 clip
- Sell into large buys in chunks, 10k buy? Sell 5-7k
- This can also give you a taste for the demand of the coin
- 1 person can ruin a chart/project, sell into people

20) Some general tools to help:
- kek.tools (recent pairs, good for finding new coins)
- dex.guru (Hot activity on ETH)
- (Twitter/ Telegram bot to help monitor large upticks in volume)
- app.dexible.io (Twap Dex)

There’s more I can add, but this should be a good starting guide for those who are unfamiliar with the low cap market 🍞
