The Quran was revealed in multiple recitations to facilitate ease for the different dialects of Arabia. Uthman (RA) then standardised the Quran, which is the Quran we have with us today.
The other recitations have been transmitted to us orally via the isnad system, which is the same way hadiths were transmitted.
In 1972, an early manuscript of the Quran was discovered and has been carbon dated to be from the 7th century (corresponding to the first century of Islam).
This manuscript contained two texts, a 'lower text' which was then replaced with the 'upper text'. The upper text corresponds to the version of the Quran Uthman (RA) standardised.
60 is a very large number and thus cannot be considered a coincidence. This means we have documented evidence from the first century of Islam proving the accuracy and reliability of the isnad system by which Islamic history was preserved.
