... to not be exploited as a fresher in itself is a highly privileged take. the majority of people in the country have no option but to be exploited initially to be able to move up the ladder so one day they may get to work with decent people who value their humanity.
after engineering, i started working on a monthly pay of ₹5000. i used to work for 12 hours on average every day + spend another 3 hours total in travelling. did i feel "exploited?" not really.
i was happy to at least have a job i liked after having a dismal academic record in college. i had no choice then. anything was better than unemployment. working on that first job is what allowed me to not only upskill, but find out what to upskill in and create more choices.
