Sometimes good guys gotta do bad things to make the bad guys pay.
Here are 10 ways to manipulate people:
Play the victim card and make others look like all of the evil in the universe has somehow fallen upon you
If you want someone to do you a favour, first ask them to do something ridiculously big which they'd likely say NO to. And once they decline your first request, ask what you really want and they'd be more likely to say yes the second time
To establish deeper bonds and trust easily, make the other person feel like you're sharing a really dark and deep secret of yours and ask them to keep a secret
Inspire fear, then relief: If you want to get what you want, first make a person fear the worst, then relieve them of the pressure, and then let them be happy enough to grant you whatever you want
Make the other person feel guilty by telling them that they are being a bad parent, friend, or partner for not giving you what you want, no matter how ridiculous it is
Never admit that you're trying to manipulate them because once you admit there's no going back: instead say this "I canโ€™t believe you would think that of me" which will make the person feel even more guilty
Disclose fake or unrequested personal information to gain social credits that will be later exploited to ask for more valuable information from your target
If someone is mad or annoyed at you, give it a few minutes of silence and then ask a seemingly innocent question that has to do with the other personโ€™s interests โ€” itโ€™ll slowly get them talking and youโ€™ll be able to move past the tense moment
When asking for something you want, use the word โ€œbecauseโ€ in your request because it makes it easy for the brain to cave in: "Can I break the line because my flight is gonna leave in 40min?"
If you doubt that someone is lying to you, just remain silent and maintain eye contact when they are finished talking. The silence and your expectation for more information will drive them toward truth
