The current fad for understanding ancestral breakdown of people was not something that originated within H-Right as an evil enterprise
It had highly 'respectable' origins with labs in Harvard publishing papers sharing "profiles" of castes based on flimsy samples of 5-10 people
Now obviously this has caught the interest of a bigger proportion of Indian netizens...
And yes, there's popular discourse on the same, that may sometimes come across as a tad "low-brow", thought it may be entirely well intentioned
This was bound to happen, and the Pandora's box was opened by academic elites!
Not by some H-Right ideologue wanting to make some racial point. In fact H-twitter is v anti-AIT (for perhaps the wrong reasons), and hardly has an agenda in these things
Libs can get sanctimonious and get all worked up when there is popular interest in these matters..
But it is a v basic instinct to know about one's forbears and one's origins barely 4-5k years ago
There's no supremacist angle here. But a child like curiosity
