WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER AUSTRALIA FOR STUDY?
Before I talk about Admission and Scholarship in Australia, let me prepare your mind by telling you why Australia is a very nice place to consider.
RT and Tag your friends here now while you grab a cup of coffee😍:
1. As a master's student and Ph.D. student, you can work for unlimited hours. Also, your spouse can work full-time.
2. Stipend for master's and Ph.D. is around 28,000 AUD per year, which can take care of your needs as a family, coupled with your
extra work. This money is paid fortnightly in your account. Meaning that you get an alert every 2 weeks😍😎.
3. Australia has different scholarship route which includes:
a. Research Training Program- For MSc and PhD(dese.gov.au)
b. Australian Awards- For Msc only (Taught or Research) (dfat.gov.au)
c. Destination Australia (Regional): scholarships.uq.edu.au
Apart from these, you can also get fully funded or partially funded scholarships from supervisors.
I may explain each of these scholarships in details in another thread. Please check now to see.
4. You can apply for as many research grants as possible while studying, especially if you have a supervisor that knows these things.
5. Permanent Residency Opportunities:
i) Study Route:
After PhD, you can get 4 years post-study visa to work and then apply for PR.
Also, after MSc(by Research), you can get 3 years post-study visa and also 2 years post-study visa if your Msc is taught (studiesinaustralia.com…).
You can then apply for PR.
ii) Global Talent Visa Route: This started in November 2019.
studiesinaustralia.com
In 2020-2021, there are 15,000 places available under the program.
You can get this visa in just 2 weeks🤣.
This means that you can become an Australian citizen in just 2 weeks.
For more info about the eligibility and testimonials, kindly read: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
The testimonial section will wow you.
6. As MSc or PhD students, your kids may not have to pay tuition fees depending on your region. Check this:
studyaustralia.gov.au
7. Australia is the second most multicultural country in the world. Check this: abc.net.au
And this:
campuslivingvillages.com
So, you will always see different kinds of people.
8. Even if you don't have publications, your Undergraduate Thesis can be used to prove that you have research experience in some cases.
9. Australia has about 40 public Universities and 3 private Universities (4icu.org), giving you more funding opportunities.
10. Australia has relatively fewer visa restrictions compared to Canada, UK and others.
That's it.
I hope you won't say Australia is too far after reading these amazing opportunities?🤔🧐
Next, we will discuss the various Admission and scholarship routes in Australia.
