COVID 19 vaccines are an individual health product and choice.
The initial studies were designed and powered for symptomatic sars-cov-2 but imbalance in severe disease showed, among people without prior immunity, good protection for what matters: Hospitalization & death

It was very reasonable to encourage adults who had not had and recovered from COVID to pursue vaccination, and this was much more important for the elderly.
Mandates were always wrong b/c we had no proof of benefit to third parties (an ethical prereq.)

The overall benefit to harm calculus was dubious. America is fiercely independent-- pushing the vax by force would have massive spill over effects. Including on political beliefs and voting.

Failing to give credit for natural immunity was a HUGE ERROR made by the biden administration.

Fast forward to the fall of 2022. Now between vaccines, covid and both, nearly all Americans have some immunity

IT is not time to lower the bar and accept booster data from mice.
It is a colossal mistake, and frankly a give away to Pfizer to permit yearly boosters based on these data.

The CDC actually advises a healthy 20 year old man who had 3 doses and JUST HAD OMICRON to get the bivalent booster to BA4/5 (an older strain) and Wuhan
