This really caught my eye. Mehul Choksey, Rana Kapoor, foreign embassies “donated” to RGF. Internal transfers of funds between RGF and RGCT done, which is not allowed under FCRA. And the best part is, study for which China paid was for promotion of Make in India goods in China 🤣
Funds received under FCRA cannot be used for any purpose other than that for which it is sanctioned. Yet, RGF used only 13 lakh out of 34 lakh sanctioned for the study and diverted the remaining funds. “Donation” received from China from 2005-09, study conducted only in 2018-19!!
Why did it take ten years to conduct this study when funds received for projects need to be utilised in the same year? Likely answer is, it was done because the @narendramodi govt had started looking into funding of RGF by then. So what were the funds given by China really for?
Another study done by RGF in 2009 using Chinese funds, on free trade agreement between India and China. Study accepts that China would be the greater beneficiary of FTA in all ways, but still recommended in its favour, calling it “feasible, desirable and mutually beneficial”!!
