Remaining with my Trump example, most Igbo-Americans are Catholic, like any Igbo person, attuned to small government and lower taxes: a message that the Republicans preach.

That Republican messaging (Christian values, small government, lower taxes) would resonate with the average Igbo-American more than the Democrats' message of gay rights and higher taxes.
